Is Share The Light a guess at the song title, or something the song has been listed as previously?

I like this but it feels like it needs to be tightened up a little. Honed in. Perhaps a solid work through in a studio would do that.

Finally. Yes. I am 100% with you and was starting to feel insane

Some nice moments but
It's more so the lyrical content that has me intrigued. It's not a sappy love song to his wife. And yeah sure, he decides to throw in that catchy hook at the end that will have the audience holding hands and singing "shine the light, don't hold us down"... but at least there's some more depth to the lyrical content up until that point, like the "lion's paw" reference.

Either a working title Ed had written on his setlists or just what fans started calling it based on the lyrics.

Share the Light is a much better song title than River Cross.
River Cross sounds like a brand of outdoorsy type shirt that one would buy at LL Bean

So we're getting an Ed ballad on the album. Which song will be the punk rocker? You know it's happening

"Buckle Up" will be the punk song

i love this

Wide awake through this deepest night
Still waiting on the sun
As the hours seem to multiply
Find me a star to soldier on
Only then beneath the lion's paw
Knowing nothing can be tamed
can be tamed

This feels very into the wild and I love Ed on the pump organ. Very Neil Young.

Wrangle in his vocals in the studio and this could be fantastic.

Should probably just drop the Share The Light name then.

Does the pacing of the 2nd “Dont Hold Me Down” feel rushed to anyone else? To my ears, I think a bit more space between the 1st and 2nd “Dont Hold Me Down” might allow the drama of the phrasing to stand out more...

I listened to it for the first time yesterday but I already can’t remember a thing about it.

It’s got a pump organ on it and Eddie Vedder sings.

This reminds me of something by Thom Yorke. It has that droney ballard thing going on.

Oh cool, I'm looking forward to what it sounds like an album after being properly recorded in a studio. I like the idea of it being the album closer too.

given that this came about as a jam on a cover performed in response to CC’s passing, I wonder if the river in question is the river styx

I was half paying attention last night when I heard a very familiar voice start a very familiar song with "Share the light..." when I lit up in a total OMG moment.
Unfortunately the others at the party didn't share my excitement.
