You mean like the bonus pre order 7 inch, which is just a radio edit of a song already on the album with no flip side? LolSimple Torture wrote:Leaving Can't Deny Me off the LP means they can put it on the fan club 7'' whenever they get around to actually making it.

I don’t see why LB would be considered as much worse than Backspacer.

Backspacer felt like an attempt at something new. "Trim the fat". Short and punchy pop numbers with a new approach.Anders wrote:I don’t see why LB would be considered as much worse than Backspacer.
Lightning Bolt felt like an uninspired vision of trying to reclaim what made pearl jam great. Nothing new. Nothing exciting.

I already e-mailed them, and they said that the problem would be solved and I wouldn`t be billed twice.verb_to_trust wrote:I cancelled mine. It was a breeze and I can always Prime that shit if the album is somehow good. I`m still being billed twice.

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread (real tracklists released!)
So, wonder if there really is a scrapped album and what level of completion it is at?
Be interesting to know what the story is behind CDM, the time from then until now with Gigaton, and why the huge delay, especially if it's been in the can a while.
I can imagine Cornell's death had a lot to do with the apparent struggles.

Lightning bolt is like their collapse into now - an album full of Pearl Jam songs that, with a few exceptions, sound and feel like copies of archetypes - Pearl Jam once removed. and I say that as a fan of both albums (and I think LB would be much better received with either warmer and more open production, or something much dirtier - but something that indicated a choice was made) But for REM it was a sign that they were done. Hopefully for pj it was a sign to try something new.

Is this in regard to Backspacer and Lightning Bolt or Olé and Can't Deny Me? Because yes.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Look guys they’re both garbage let’s move on
