”What Did Jack Do” a new original short film by David Lynch that showed up on Netflix today; his birthday.

It is truly sublime.

I think it's because they're often grading in HDR, and if you don't have a proper setup in a totally dark room, it can get dim as fuck. The grading in dark scenes is so delicately optimized for the best displays that it seems like they forget how that's gonna translate to 99% of the screens of the world.

When I saw Solo in the cinema I was sure there was something wrong with the projector it was so dark.
Nope. Got it at home and it’s just dark.

Seems to be a thing but Fuck knows what or why

Compelling and complex. A definite must see

i got through 20 minutes. It hurt my eyes and also i hate ryan reynolds. Some amazing stunt driving though.
There are a few annoying Bay-isms and lame humor but I thought the action was done well. Which is not something I'd say about anything in Transformers.

A year prior to the release Ryan Reynolds posted a video on Instagram of himself talking about how quiet Michael Bay's movies are, while in the background a car explodes. This scene is in the movie and you can actually see Reynolds in the background filming the video for this post.
I need to watch it again to see this.

I might have spoken too soon on my praise. The talky bits are brutal. I disavow. Repeat: I disavow.

I watched Crash last night and honestly teared up during the scene where the shop owner goes to the locksmith’s house and his daughter runs outside.
