I believe its the ONLY time he's done it and it adds so much to the song. have always loved that.
"octave dyad" is really getting me going right now. might have to change my username.

I agree.

If Gigaton is as good as Riot Act I will be thrilled. I class Riot Act as their last "great" album.

It came out when I was in high school. I didn’t appreciate it then but it’s clicked for me the last 5 years or so.

God damn that Grievance performance is so good. Never gets old. Even at the end of the song, where Eddie typically makes one of his high pitched horse neighs he doesn't do it.

Letterman.

Insignificance and Grievance are the type of rockers they could have been making for the last 15 years. Slower ballad stuff like Can't Keep, All or None and Fatal. This new album has a pretty much impossible task to erase the resentment I have about this.

I’ll listen to the first, and maybe the second (depending how close it is to album release), but if they start pulling that SleaterKinney shit where they released like 5 songs, fuck that
Still rolling in the No Leak Mafia, I see. Respect.

I reckon every first single of a new album since No Code has leaked early in some form?

Who You Are did.
Given To Fly did. In fact the whole album did.
Nothing As It Seems did, and was played a few months before release, at Bridge School.
I Am Mine did. Whole album too.
WWS did.
The Fixer, albeit crappy audio, did.
Mind Your Manners did.

Rumour over at the pit is that Superblood Wolf Moon will be the second single, dropping mid Feb, then the album.

I can believe it. The song title Superblood Wolf Moon was doing the rounds before the full tracklisting was announced, and I'd bet that's cos it's the second track (along with DOTC) that some folks have reported hearing - the one with the face melting Mike solo. Makes sense that they'd be sharing that track if it was going to be the second single.
