have any of you guys heard of or used the potato peel method of re-seasoning (or seasoning for the first time) your cast iron? when mixed with oil and salt and heated, it supposedly pulls the remaining wax and grease from the surface.

We scour our cast iron with a chainmail cloth and hot water. Seems to work.
