Holy fuck is that an actual guitar RIFF? Not just weakly played power chords? Reminds me a little of Talking Heads in production vibe.

I know it's a brief tease and the chances of Ed ruining it are astronomical but I've got to admit that sounded really good.scrub12 wrote:https://twitter.com/pearljam/status/1219713950507585540?s=21
That sounds...a little different.

Idiots over on the porch proclaiming this is the REAL clip. Fucking obvious as shit that the Bill Simmons' clip is the same song. just listen to the bass and drums. Question is what is the intro and what is the breakdown/verse/chorus.

That's been my thought in hearing these clips...Homeboyd wrote:I can't even imagine Ed 2020 singing over that clipBirds in Hell wrote:I know it's a brief tease and the chances of Ed ruining it are astronomical but I've got to admit that sounded really good.scrub12 wrote:https://twitter.com/pearljam/status/1219713950507585540?s=21

I could hear Matt singing over that...but not Ed... And I highly doubt the lead track would not be sung by ed, so... It'll be interesting to see what he does with/to it.

If Ed actually sings calmly, coolly, and within his range over this, it could be a really good song.

Though it is another boring 4/4 time signature and beat. You'd think Matt would want to be creative by now.

sounds like RHCP and a bit of a talking heads riff there. I dunno, keeping an open mind

Is Ed gonna try to rhyme something with clairvoyants?

Cool riff, cool tone, Ed could do well with this I hope gives the music a lot of space. I hope he doesn't ride the frantic tone of the riff though. The riff has a Native American tribal vibe to it.
