certain parts of that guitar tone remind me of binaural (insignificance maybe?).Birds in Hell wrote:Agreed on all this.Strat wrote:They hit a little funk riff (a classic prince if you will) at the end of it, but up until the last bit it sounds rather....angular and dark? Asking sincerely, as to me it sounds like a bog-standard attempt at funk guitar
Also, that being said, its just a small clip and i said MOST INTERESTING in over a decade. The last 2.5 pearl jam albums have been filled with very uninteresting guitar parts.

I fucking like it. Let's hope that's not the best part of the track.

My simple brain with no musical background is having a hard time figuring out how they go from the Simmons clip to that clip in the same song, so I'm very intrigued.

The guitar part and tone definitely brings to made that post-punk melding with funk vibe of Gang of Four, etc.:

I'm getting a Raindance Maggy vibe here... sounds great with headphones.Sgt. Crackpot wrote:I fucking like it. Let's hope that's not the best part of the track.
More to the point, it sounds like something our "modern" rock station might actually play (which I think is cool at this point)!

The tone sure but as far as the riff I'm getting more INXS "Suicide Blonde" vibestragabigzanda wrote:Birds in Hell wrote:The guitar part and tone definitely brings to made that post-punk melding with funk vibe of Gang of Four, etc.:
