Oh my, I'm shocked! I usually just lurk around in the threads but I need to say I loved Dance of the Clairvoyants. Eddie singing in a register that he can reach without sounding forced is great and the instrumentation is experimental enough for Pearl Jam. Really great!

I enjoyed the music but I think Ed's voice is a detriment to the song. Still better than anything off the last album and gives me a glimmer of hope for this album.

Some appear to dig it, others hate it. Par for what this place and the fan base has become. Y’all shit on the same things over and over. No matter the song, or album, it’s the same complaints. I need to hear it a few more times to fully know where I stand with it. Interesting to see how it fits in with the rest of the album. It’s different, that’s for sure!

That "not a negative thought. POSITIVE! POSITIVE!" was so representative of live Eddie but very disconcerting on an album.

Is that a middle finger to the “return to form” crowd?

They're not fucking back at all; they're headed in a new direction entirely.
Thanks Harmless
I agree that this is what people claimed they wanted. I’m happy.

That was my immediate response too, Jorge. This is really good and bodes very well for the album.

The music is solid, but Ed is completely aping David Byrne to the point of tribute band.

The last minute/outro bit is cool. Dig the space they play with throughout. I read somewhere Jeff on Keys and Stone on bass for this? That, I like.

Need to hear Superblood Wolfmoon before forming final opinion.

They released this as the first single. Fuck yea. This is the band i fell in love with. Whether this song ends up being great or just exciting is remained to be seen but the fact they released this song as the first single says something. Perhaps they mean business again.
