Pretty sure most of us who follow the N&D sub forum feel this way.Strat wrote:Im so turned on by you liking this.McParadigm wrote:I don’t need context to justify calling this good. Its just good.evenslow wrote:let's think big picture here.
GUYS, again, the comparison at this point in their career is VOODOO LOUNGE.
this is miles beyond that shit. they're 30 years in, coming off an average, by-the-numbers album and a TRUE low point single (CDM) and.. and... somehow came up with this! something they've literally never done before!
color me way more encouraged than i was just a few weeks ago.
don't look a gift horse in the mouth, this is good shit Jamily.

Re: Dance of the Clairvoyants
I'm actually away for work at the moment (it's 1:30pm in the afternoon where I sit) but knew my wife was sitting in our home office. I remoted into my PC and started playing the song through the office speakers.
She guessed it was PJ straight away and actually really liked the song. But she thinks the song name sucks.

i think the outro's the best part of the songstip wrote:quite like the outro. This was a good song and a very pleasant surprise
As a song I do prefer Mind Your Manners, Fixer, World Wide Suicide, and I Am Mine (at least as initial singles) but those are all carefully calibrated to land right in my wheelhouse.
But this feels much more like the song they needed to release at this moment

The statement in this case is "Stop Making Sense, now streaming on Prime Video"Strat wrote:I put this up there with Who You are and nothing as it seems.
Three single releases that are statements and direct challenges to fans. The pearl jam i fell in love with.

To interpretation
Expecting perfection
Leaves a lot to ignore
When the past is the present

Numbers keep falling off the _____ floor
We're all stuck in our boxes
When it's open(?) no more
Collecting up the forget-me-nots
Now we're crawling with the floor(?) now recalling what they're for
I'm in love with clairvoyants 'coz they're out(?) of this world
I know the girls wanna dance away their circumstance
I know the boys wanna grow their dicks and fix and fire things
I know the girls wanna dance
Clairvoyants in a trance
I know the boys wanna grow their dicks and fix and fire things
Stand back when the spirit comes
And I think he might be saying drown in the river? Idk
