Re: Bright Eyes
It'd be really hilarious/sad if Conor Oberst becomes some kind of totemic figure for those sad creeps in the Men's Rights movement.

But I'm seriously glad he's not a rapist. I'd feel really weird about liking that "Bowl of Oranges" song. (it's cute)

Well we've all dodged that bullet today. I'm just glad I can still enjoy his weepy bullshit.
I was molested by that adorable little elf in Chvrches and enjoying their music has been difficult ever since.

I can't help but notice that I've seen about 20-30 tweets today about that girl admitting she made it up, but don't remember anybody on my timeline tweeting about the accusation in the first place. Nor does anyone really ever tweet about Conor Oberst on my timeline in general.theplatypus wrote:It'd be really hilarious/sad if Conor Oberst becomes some kind of totemic figure for those sad creeps in the Men's Rights movement.
I'm trying to decide what I think that means.

I have a buddy who has played a few shows with Connor. He is kind of a douche but a talented guy. As far as their songs hit or miss. Agreed I'm Wide Awake is really good I think.

Re: Bright Eyes
I'll probably bite on this album, but I haven't thought about or listened to Bright Eyes in years.
Feels like I came into my own alongside these albums, growing as the group did. If that concept is still in play, I'll be interested to hear how this next album syncs with my world.

I might be the only one still listening to Bright Eyes in 2020, but new album out today.
