So, it sounds like a Pearl Jam album with DotC as the outlier fwiw.
Any way to listen to this?
Probably Apple Music which I don't have. I just saw some dude transcribing it on Twitter. He seemed semi-legit so I posted it.

Another quote from Stone, "I do think (Eddie’s) lyrics on this record are stunning". I assume he means stunning in a good way
I do imagine DotC as the NAIS of Gigaton. At first we may be disappointed that the album is so different from the single, but then we’ll see all the qualities (like with Binaural).

I hope the album is heavy. Or there's some heaviness to it. It'd be a waste of a title to name it Gigaton and have it be just heartfelt ballads and spritzy punkers.

Just looking at the Apple music app, it’ll probably be archived tomorrow if not tonight.

outside of black, i can't think of any other true ballads that they've done that have been really good. it's definitely not their strong suit.

No way we're getting just heartfelt ballads and spritzy punkers for the other 53 minutes.

Where can we listen to that interview? Zane has a show on Beats 1 but this didn’t come up when I searched it.

I have faith it won’t be another LB. Jeff talking about how proud he is of the songs, plus, the sheer length of time left on the album means these songs have to be fleshed out a bit.

This radio show replays in an hour and then in the middle of the night. It’ll be on demand after.

Feels significant that Stone is out and about hyping the album before it's release, as though that's a notable change from his level of investment in the band on the last few albums.

There’s 53 minutes left for 11 songs. The recording of River Cross I have is like 3:15 too, so hoping the odds of these quick punk songs is pretty low.

exactly. Mike was all amped about Lightning Bolt, so if he were the one out here being the hype man, i'd be way more worried
