I'm sorry dude but I'm just super duper confused by the arguments you're making.
People here diss the post-Riot Act albums = people here don't want Pearl Jam to be a rock band?
If you were a Cardi B fan and Cardi B made a country song, you wouldn't be happy (which to me indicates that you're stuck in the old tribal music-follower model of the 90s, strict lines delineating genre allegiances, which to be honest I think is a thing of the past, but whatever), and you think this should translate to how this board reacts to a song like "Dance of the Clairvoyants"?

Not liking the stuff after Riot Act means you don't like rock music guys, because Ten-->Riot Act isn't rock music. Only ST--> LB is rock music.

You keep saying this, is it a Jordan Peterson reference or something?WtOB? wrote:dude needs to clean his room.Strat wrote:Mikeyisgod is way off base here and I don’t even know where to begin.

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread (real tracklists released!)
Nobody here dislikes modern Pearl Jam because of the style of the songs.MikeyIsGod wrote: so many PJ fans on here seem to dislike the very style/songs that made them popular in the first place: hook-laden, guitar solo, emotive rock songs.
We dislike modern Pearl Jam because the songs themselves are boring and half-ass.
There is a huge difference.
If anything, most Pearl Jam bros need to expand their horizons because they can't handle any kind of a slight left turn from the formula, regardless of how good or accomplished a song is.
Case in point.
