That’s where I’m keeping my expectations to keep them in line.

The band is clearly proud of this thing.

sorry, at this point, this absolutely needs to be their best since riot act or something has gone wrong.

you seen Mike's general demeanor compared to everyone else? he's constantly walking around like a kid in a candy shop. anything that doesn't sound like Sesame Street is probably depressing to him

Yes. He's earning himself some pocket money to pay for Gigaton.

DOTC is a good start, I’m just trying to temper my own expectations. The single and the production of it are pretty much everything I’ve wanted.

I can’t stress enough how good Who Ever Said is. My initial thought with hearing the first 4 tracks was “well...they’ve got 4 new show openers”

I love all PJ albums but if I have to rank

VS
No Code
Yield
Vitalogy
Ten
Backspacer
Binaural
Riot Act
Lightning Bolt
Pearl Jam

BUT ALL ARE 5 STAR ALBUMS

There are 2 supersonicy punk songs (never destination and take the long way)

There are no bluesy tracks like Half Full or Let the records play.

I had Buckle Up pegged as my fav song based on the title. It was not the rocker I thought it would be.

I’ve never been able to experience a PJ release without the bias of reading reviews on boards. So that was a treat. Fuck. that opener. Once it starts it does not let go. The crowd was floored. So much energy. You can feel every single band members footprint on it. It’s huge and fun.

I see everyone enjoying this album. And Ed seems super proud of it. For very good reason. But as I’ve said before. Fuck. I gotta retool my top 10.

Would you describe these as 'spritzy' ?

Excited most for 7'Oclock. Especially if it's 6 minutes long and has a trippy Floyd vibe. That's my sweet spot, and exactly what I want to hear.

I personally liked take the long way more than never destination. But they are similar in the way who ever said is like super blood wolf moon. They fit together.

You’ve heard PJ do this type of punk track before. Some fans dig it hardcore. So they will be rocking out.

They’ve got enough live songs so I just care about the album being good.
