Would you describe these as 'spritzy' ?
every time i see that word, i think of a Truly drink. which seems fitting as a metaphor for PJ PUNK

They’ve got enough live songs so I just care about the album being good.
i mean because if i like them on the album i want to be able to hear them live and still like them

You’ve heard PJ do this type of punk track before. Some fans dig it hardcore. So they will be rocking out.

I love all PJ albums but if I have to rank

VS
No Code
Yield
Vitalogy
Ten
Backspacer
Binaural
Riot Act
Lightning Bolt
Pearl Jam

BUT ALL ARE 5 STAR ALBUMS

There are 2 supersonicy punk songs (never destination and take the long way)

There are no bluesy tracks like Half Full or Let the records play.

I had Buckle Up pegged as my fav song based on the title. It was not the rocker I thought it would be.

I’ve never been able to experience a PJ release without the bias of reading reviews on boards. So that was a treat. Fuck. that opener. Once it starts it does not let go. The crowd was floored. So much energy. You can feel every single band members footprint on it. It’s huge and fun.

I see everyone enjoying this album. And Ed seems super proud of it. For very good reason. But as I’ve said before. Fuck. I gotta retool my top 10.
I like the enthusiasm. I don't believe you, but I like the enthusiasm.

Lovelovelove seeing someone love No Code and love Gigaton. Expectations trending toward "I'm going to love this."

Jonathan Cohen has described Mike McCready's solo in that song as 'sizzling' ?

How sizzling would you say we are talking here?

A) Low and steady enough to heat a sunnyside egg
B) Hot enough to cook a philly cheesesteak but not burn
C) Hibachi Onion Volcano Fireball

Is DotC indicative of the other songs on the album, or is it a clear outlier?
Also, does it sound DIFFERENT, or does it nestle itself comfortably next to Lightning Bolt? (E.g. is it as different as Binaural and Yield are, or is it more like Lightning Bolt?
