Mr. Eduardo Vedder wrote:“There’s a mystery to the creative process,” Vedder said. “Sometimes there’s an element that lands on it. You can pray, you can meditate -- but sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t. To say there was some magic involved with this [album] would be more self-confidence than I’ve ever had… but I think you’re going to hear it.”

If by "invited", you mean in the form of a BoB pinata to be smacked around joyously post-tequila, then, yes, I've heard he was, in fact, present.bodysnatcher wrote:I wonder if BoB was invited?

We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Staggering to consider the difference in listening parties between LB and Gigaton. B'OB represents the band at a small, random club in Europe (Germany? Memory is foggy on this). After all, he was the dominant character of LB, right?

Ed invites a bunch of friends to LA and drinks tequila with them while waxing philosophical about magic. I'll take the latter, thank you very much.

However savagely they swung at that thing could never be enough to atone for how poor the PRAMG records sound.96583UP wrote:‘take that for producing our records for 25 years!’
The songs on said records? I'd take a nasty spill out of my chair trying to fight anyone who wants to debate the material.
My issues are strictly of the mix/master variety.
Then again, I've never claimed objectivity when it comes to Pearl Jam. I've willed myself to eventually enjoy everything they've ever done just as often, if not moreso, than I've ever willed myself to exert any real physical effort outside of the chair, so it is what it is at this point, folks.

They even let Boom come.
Looks like that was just a few days before, as opposed to a few months.

Wait a minute, during an interview ed possibly implied he has prayed for inspiration? I admit for some reason, probably because it seems he's been back and forth for so msny years on the subject of belief in a god, I'm curious about Ed's personal beliefs and would like more insight into it.evenslow wrote:Mr. Eduardo Vedder wrote:“There’s a mystery to the creative process,” Vedder said. “Sometimes there’s an element that lands on it. Haha , 7th day adventist! I pictured him as more of a snake handling Pentecostal (0.00001% of Christianity). More accurately, he's simply an agnostic.

Nothing on Lightning Bolt has production as good as DotC, and it's not even close. Gigaton has to be way better, if only for that reason.
