Guys this isn't 2006, the album isn't going to leak anytime soon. At best it'll be online a day or two before release date, but the days of albums being available a month or two before release date are long over.

Kinda surprised more info hasn’t appeared online.

Hopefully copies are not far from going to reviewers.

There will be a big difference we get in information from a single play through listening party compared to what we get to read from full fledged reviews

Back for a technical question:

Let’s assume it is generally agreed that the “best” sound is on vinyl played through a corded connection to good headphones.

If that’s a 10/10 where does wireless connection/bluetooth from an iPhone to good headphones rank?

If past PJ albums are any indication, vinyl would be around a 6/10 (basically same as cd)

This album will sorely dissapoint now that everyone is gushing about DotC.

Ticket sales... This is why I think we have to wait till nearly April to hear the album.

They’ve been selling out bigger venues for years now without a new album.

I think the album delay is more to do with maximising public attention, media coverage etc.

They could never put out new material again and keep selling out arenas (if not stadiums).

Between the new song and the song descriptions, sounds like we are getting an album closer to their wheelhouse. The hope I have, and the optimism I hope I share, is that even if they are not veering extensively into new sonic territory, that the other songs are still as vitally inspired as Dance of the Clairvoyants. If that’s the case, this will be a great album. If it’s by the numbers again, we could see some upset folks here.
