Re: The Witness
Yeah, this game is a lot of fun.
It may kinda go without saying, but I would recommend playing this on a tablet.
The puzzles are awkward with a mouse, keyboard setup and the environments (when not in a puzzle) aren't really detailed enough to warrant PC/graphics card prettiness.
I think most puzzle games are better on tablets at this point.

Re: The Witness
I lost this game and all of my progress when I let go of my iPhone. Bah!
So I'm playing The Eyes of Ara instead and pivoting this thread to include any and all puzzle/adventure games.
Eyes of Ara is a lot of fun so far. Not as heavy on the environmental puzzles as The Witness, but the plot unfolds in a very similar way as you move from room to room trying to figure out what's going on in the castle. Very eerie supernatural/mechanical feel to it all. I think I'll be playing this for a while.
(Minor puzzle spoilers below)

Weekly reminder that everyone needs to play both LIMBO and Inside.

Debating Limbo or the Room series after I finish Eyes of Ara. All of my gaming is done on mobile phones now.

Yep. Some of the best pure environmental storytelling in games, ever. Inside in particular is just incredible.Ello Sailor wrote:Weekly reminder that everyone needs to play both LIMBO and Inside.

Okay, on everyone's recommendation I downloaded Limbo in the Play Store a few days ago. Loving this. What a haunting game. Puzzles are just frustrating enough to keep me playing. I love playing with the headphones on.

I'm already bummed that this game is going to end at some point. I know I have Inside to look forward to, but that one will end too.

LIMBO paved the way, though. Turns 10 this July. A true masterpiece.

Re: Puzzle/Adventure games (The Witness, Limbo, etc.)
I am vexed by the wasp level on Limbo right now. That fucker just stays against the wall and a trip through the tunnels leads to buzzing noises and an empty space but not much else.
