He's probably the most influential music Youtuber right now. I've actually never watched a single one of his videos, but I've read some of his takes elsewhere and they are god awful.

Re: Dance of the Clairvoyants
he's a pretentious prick but I'm addicted to watching his reviews, perhaps as a form of self-harm
he talks (down) to his audience with this smarmy "amirite guys?" assumption of inevitable unanimous agreement with his opinions
also he confused UK Drill with UK Grime in a Stormzy review, which made me LOL
it pisses me off that he compares Hayley Williams' "Simmer" (which I fucking love) with Radiohead instead of, for example, Portishead and Lamb

I won’t watch the video but took a peak at the comments and seems like he doesn’t like DOTC and everyone telling him he’s wrong. Good stuff.

It really is. All the best movies and shows yet produced right at their fingertips, and my kids just want to watch jacksepticeye play night in the woods.theplatypus wrote:It's the world we live in now guysStrat wrote:lol. Any publicity is good publicity. Honestly, I'm surprised Fantano even talked about it at all.

Re: Dance of the Clairvoyants
DOTC seems to be doing quite well chart-wise and youtube views, wonder if this is really a popular thing or just the newness/half decent new song in a long time.
No idea how to measure things in 2020.

Re: Dance of the Clairvoyants
Panning DotC is a no-lose proposition for that schmuck. He gets a bunch of troll clicks from a fan base that might not have been exposed to him before, and his fans get to point and laugh at the band whose music they were probably conceived to.
