The only one I’m really hoping I get to open is Oceans. Still haven’t had it, and if they don’t open with it, chances are I’m not going to get it.

I can easily see them opening with DotC then straight into some balls-out jam like Go or BoJ.

Maybe, but Stone on bass and Jeff on keytar means some shuffling around. It being the first song of an encore might be easiest. That's a common slot for Smile too.

the only time I got Oceans mid set was philly when they played 10 in its entirely. otherwise I got it as an opener (I saw it open about 10 times during the 10/vs/vitology tours).

This discussion reminded me that the last show I saw opened with Oceans > Footsteps > Nothingman. Was incredible. That show exceeded expectations for sure (Seattle 2, 2018)

Pendulum was always sort of an intro to me...I barely count it as the opener...

Corduroy (MSG 2016)
Sometimes (Fenway 2018)

So all different so far if Pendulum doesn't count. My favorite was Pendulum / Wash.

Also Sometimes at Fenway was followed by Release which was cool.

A lot of bands I’ve noticed (Wilco for one) seem to mostly abandon the the album prior to the new one they’re touring behind. What LB songs do you think will stick around or will they mostly just play Gigaton with the hits from the first three records and Yield?

Occasionally Pendulum and Yellow Moon pop up in Encore 1

No way LB and MYM are played every night. Why would Pendulum appear in the encore? It was almost exclusively a show opener. I'm sure it'll still open a show or two.

They used to play pendulum as an Opener but they did it in the encore when I saw them in 2016 at MSG along with songs like all or none and I have a feeling that’s where it stays.

Man, reading what some of you have gotten to hear live - pretty jealous of a lot of the openers you've all gotten. Here's mine, counting all the "festival" type shows as well:

Again, this is if they stick with their formulaic openings. I would not complain if they got away from those type of sets and really mix it up. But who am I kidding, if I'm there I won't complain about what they play while they're playing it. Maybe whilst listening to it on the boot, but in the moment, I won't care...

my strangest/most random openers were:

1. act of love at the 1995 milwaukee show, and

2. last kiss (got it twice - the 2002 chicago hob show and 2006 milwaukee summerfest show (something about milwaukee)).

my coolest openers were:

1. rearviewmirror at the 1994 detroit show, and

2. all or none at the 2007 chicago vic show

The best opener is Release and the best closer is Fuckin' Up.
