The video with the nature footage was titled "Mach I" and it was already foreshadowed there would be at least one other video released.
the 90's: "We will not make videos on principle."
now: "Let's make three different videos for the same song!"

That's why solo is in "".Homeboyd wrote:This is absolutely not true. Though I really like the song and the guitar tone, it's very much of a supporting sound that adds little musical flourishes and nowhere close to a solo imo.verb_to_trust wrote:This is not true.durdencommatyler wrote:I love the guitar tone on this track. Best "solo" since DTE.
I'm not sure what the correct musical term is. But that riff (or whatever) in DTE during the "admire me" part is one of my favorite PJ guitar parts. And this riff or whatever in DOTC makes me feel the same way. I love it. It's my favorite PJ guitar part since that one in DTE.

A solo is when the guitar goes twiddly diddly

Also "ernie ernie ernie", which is now lodged in my brain thanks to a particular thread on I Love Music (see 4:46-4:50 of the album version of Alive).

Man alive. Love the production so much. I love hearing Matt’s cymbal ring out so briefly right at the very end of the song.
Also, for some reason I hear elements of vintage early pearl jam here. The way the band plays and interacts along with eddies vocal deliveries. I can almost picture this stemming from a jam made up on stage circa 1992.

Ha! I just checked out The Strangler's Walk on By to see what this "ernie ernie ernie" thing was all about.
