As you might remember I hate everything Lakers and was never a Kobe fan but this whole thing is awful. That poor family. Hearing reports he was at mass that morning at 7 am. Just keeps getting sadder.

Also, Bulls question for you. Not like we make the moves but would you swap Levine for Aaron Gordon?
Both are on very similar contracts. I'm keeping Zach over Gordon for sure though. Both are fatally flawed players but Gordon seems to have stagnated where with Zach you can't really dispute he has taken steps forward offensively. Both the Magic and Bulls are screwed until they luck into a real star in the draft though.

The Bucks could win 70 games and nobody will care. Lakers in 6

Not really. Mostly at the 3. Clifford has been starting either Khem Birch at the 4 next to Vuc or occassionally Wes Iwundu at the 3 and Gordon at the 4.
The No Dunks guys did Birch on the nickname game. I think they ended up with Khem "clorophyll" Birch.

Damian just continues to be out of his damn mind. Ariza arriving & being motivated has given them a nice spark. Maybe starting to finally click a bit, even with Whiteside still being Whiteside. Look forward to Nurkic coming back. (Yes I realize I’m waxing on about an at-best 8 seed disappointing team, but hey, Blazer fandom)

I’ve had to adopt the Blazers as my squad.

Preach.

Fuck Clay Bennett. Still feel terrible for my basketball peeps to the north.

As for tonight, need CJ & Carmelo to start draining some shots. Hope Dame continues to own Russ’ brain, too.

Hey! Whiteside has 5 blocks! He's flirting with a triple double.

Watching him “set screens” for Dame this season has been particularly frustrating..

I love him so much. Shame my votes didn't get him the starting spot over Harden

The Blazers will improve the second they cut Melo.

Melo has been fine. They will improve the second they get Nurkic Collins and Hood back, which unfortunately might not be until next season.

verb_to_trust wrote:Trae Young absolutely deserves to start over Jimmy Butler. What's the argument for Jimmy? That the Heat are in 3rd place in the East? He can take his reserve role and stfu. Maybe he'll turn his nose up at it and refuse to play like he did a few years ago?
For somebody whose been so anti-Devin Booker it seems odd that you're good with empty numbers Trae Young being an starter. Butler's averaging 20/6/6 on a much better team and actually plays defense.

The bolded is probably the real reason for this. I really don't care about this, but I didn't think pointing out the obvious that Butler > Young this season would be such a hot take.

Also, Bam is the Heat's best player. Even if Butler is being coy when he says stuff like that it's actually true.
