when the call-and-response breakdown for this song live is entirely focused on boy-bashing you are all gonna look real stupid, especially when he takes it up a notch and instructs everyone to literally bash themselves in the penis if they have one

Vedder, once a sleepless rock star, now spends his days going to bed early, and spending time with his girls.

"Seeing it all now, it's all so different - youth, life, experiencing things" Vedder acknowledged, as the gentle ripples of Lake Washington trickled back and forth by his feet. "When you're in charge, when you're the responsible one - it really changes your perspective on things"

Vedder's neighbors have noticed a change too. "We see him - yes - but not partying or up late or anything like that. It's really more just doing normal 'dad' stuff - bringing the kids back from school, taking out the trash, walking the dog. In fact, we saw him shoo away a few young boys the other night. Talk about things coming full circle? They made some kind of racket - something about a food fight maybe - and then they just dispersed from the gate."

Seattle P.D. has noted the strains of fame on the family in the past, but that things have begun to level out. "We're aware of several attempts by miscreants attempting to enter his property unauthorized in the past - but that was a long time ago. Since then, we've spent considerable time patrolling the area and ensuring that the family has the safety and peace of mind in their homes that all Americans deserve. In fact, the last time we had to actually enter the property was following a call from Vedder himself, asking us to remove an unruly young boy who was dressed in a prom outfit and was found in his basement with one of his children, also in a prom dress. "

"When I wrote this song I just wanted everyone to know " Vedder mused "that all the hot-headed young boys need to know - that I've got my eye on you and if you f*ck with my Tivo settings, or clog a toilet, or park your car like an asshole in my driveway - I am going to fucking knock your ass out and cut off your dick. Boys just loove their dicks - well, not on my property - I am the alpha male of this sector and your cocks are mine. Chop 'em off! Grow them back! That's what the song is about - them fixing their dicks after I chop them off. That's what they get for smashing a hole in my basement drywall after I told them to stop playing nerf basketball. Assholes."

Gigaton is produced by Josh Evans Music and is due out in Verizon Stores exclusively on March 27.

Looks like air play has been increasing steadily with this song as it is moving up on the alternative, rock, modern rock and AAA chart formats.

Anecdotal but the song is really making waves within the typical #swag #YOLO crowd. I was at a house party and some shitty Billie Eilish or Drake or whatever crap was playing. I managed to hijack the Spotify and blast DOTC. People were really into it, a girl came up to me and asked what the track was. And yes I got her digits ;)
