Hoping for three versions of a video for this, too.

It'll probably be the same band footage , with some pictures of the Moon, waves, & wolves in the background

Whille the first single is objectively awesome, the whole three video thing is just begging for joke-making. The band really knows how to entertain on multiple levels these days.
I really do hope they repeat this approach for the second single.

If the band doesn't release this single at the peak of the supermoon, they are dumbasses.

Re: Superblood Wolfmoon
I keep *imagining* what this is going to sound like
I keep going back to that little intro clip we have of (presumably) "Who Ever Said" on vinyl; at first I thought that first low note stab was piano and I was worried, but today I think it's more likely bass

I really like that it begins with soundscapey ambience, it makes me think they might've *tried* in the studio; it reminds me a little of the backwards chords looped at the beginning of "Severed Hand", which was cool (and suggested a better song, so I'm trying to be cautious)DWFB wrote:Ms Harmless wrote:https://youtu.be/2sBhTEUobsIDWFB wrote:Ms Harmless wrote:I keep *imagining* what this is going to sound like

Yeah, the ambience but also sounds like it could be both fast and heavy. Pj have experimented with heavy a tiny bit (No Way? Habit?) but ive been waiting for more of it. Hoping for a few sound garden like tunes.
I played dotc over and over the first few days. I can still probably like it when listening to the entire album. Most songs with catchy choruses get old to me fairly quick but afterward i can still listen to them occasionally or when playing a full album. I will like dotc a lot better if its a live version with more instrumentation. A longer studio jam would have helped the i know... I know... parts be an easier regular listen for me.
I like "river cross" a lot and i think I'll like the album version even more. "Release" used to be one of my favorites off Ten. It's lyrics are a little too direct for me these days to be as special as it was. River Cross to me is what Release seems to be for a lot of people here. The lyrics are part of that impact. I also love the organ in the begining and throughout and the way Ed's tone seems to fit it perfectly. The melodies in this song are going to stick with me long term and the song in general.

I think "Release" is my fave song from Ten these days, and yes I'm looking forward to "River Cross"; the chords and melody are melancholy and a bit cold to me, as well as pretty, which I think has been missing from Ed songs for a long timeDWFB wrote:Ms Harmless wrote:I really like that it begins with soundscapey ambience, it makes me think they might've *tried* in the studio; it reminds me a little of the backwards chords looped at the beginning of "Severed Hand", which was cool (and suggested a better song, so I'm trying to be cautious)DWFB wrote:Ms Harmless wrote:https://youtu.be/2sBhTEUobsIDWFB wrote:Ms Harmless wrote:I keep *imagining* what this is going to sound like

Yes, its melancholy and pretty. I think i might even end up liking the live version better than Long Road.
