I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

This will be a very unpopular opinion

But

I have been rewatching the full series from the beginning

And I have determined

This show is at its absolute funniest

From seasons 8-11

I would never leave out 4-7 in that discussion.

4-7 are definitely peak Simpsons but I find 8-11 a little funnier.
