I agree with this. I mostly find curb funny because I specifically find Larry funny.
me too. but what also makes curb funny is some of the things that they can get away with on hbo that seinfeld couldn't. we would never have had a "beloved cunt" episode of seinfeld or even a leon character.

Yes, I remember vividly choking on my dinner after watching that episode for the first time.

Also via Funkhouser, "PS, your cunt is in the sink!"

I will catch up with you guys here in a year or two.
The seasons are short enough that, depending on your binge rate, you could be caught up in a couple of weeks.
100 episodes in two weeks?

:haha:
They're only 30 minutes

It's probably the moment I laugh about the most as well, it's just so fucking crass and fantastic.

Simple Torture wrote: While the Larry/Cherry plot has plenty of legs for some good comedy over the course of the season, I hope they don't make this season "the season where Larry is accused of sexual harrassment." Those jokes were good in the one episode, but I don't think it can be sustained.
Three episodes in, I still feel this way. Larry's incredulity over the lawsuit, the way he videotaped his hookup due to the "current climate"...jokes like these just feel so hacky. There has been plenty of good stuff that has grown off of it (Larry's relationship with his lawyer is funny, and the build up and payoff to his recoiling from Laverne Cox was just amazing, like a classic Curb bit), but lots of it is coming off as "#MeToo is wild, amirite?" and I have like zero reaction to that; I barely even scoff.

I'm all for them joking about anything, I just don't think any of the sexual harrassment jokes have been funny.

I loved it when Richard Lewis showed up at the wake right after Larry. He's been great this year, obviously a bit more prominent with no Funkhouser--I feel like Marty would've been the one to boycott Mocha Joe's (but only when he's with Larry) if he was around. I got sad when they offhandedly mentioned he was in China.

For a brief moment, I thought they'd have Funkhouser die from the coronavirus. Then I realized these were probably filmed months and months ago.

Another fun episode. The lisping got a little overboard but the scenes with Richard Lewis and Laverne Cox were particularly good.
Also, I immediately thought of Susan from Seinfeld at the end.
