Had a conversation with a Trump supporter today that said they'd be ok if they lifted term limits so Trump could run again in 2024. When I told them that would make it possible for Obama to run again they said "oh, yeah, maybe they shouldn't do that, then".

Sigh.

I couldn't even begin to count the number of people that have told me they want the term limits gone so he can live the rest of his life as President.

Of course then I respond that someone could just kill him now and that wish would be fulfilled.

Do their faces scrunch up as they scream "CIVIL WAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!" when you talk about their King that way?

they say she has man proportions, her ring finger is considerably longer than her index finger and her shoulders are the width you would find on a male, and there are no birth certificates for Malia or Sasha Obama, plus no pictures of her pregnant or pictures of her with either girls as infants, so that is what feeds the conspiracy

Zero. That was one of those post-birther theories that half of conservative internet thought was just hilarious...and half thought was real. And every point listed above was a part of it. They got loud enough about it for a while that I’m surprised anybody managed to avoid exposure.

I’ve done my best to not judge people for supporting Trump, and I think I’ve done a good job. But there are evangelical Christians in my life, self proclaimed “Jesus freaks” who are all in for Trump and think he’s the greatest president ever. They now all hate John McCain and Mitt Romney too.

These are the most confusing people I know. There are cynical & condescending answers to this, and I admit I entertain them, but it’s not something I would have predicted.
