Moonrise Kingdom, Grand Budapest, and Isle of Dogs were all awful
I liked Moonrise but I’m scared to revisit it. Didn’t even bother watching Isle; trailers were so boring.
Imagine liking Fantastic Mr. Fox so much that you listened to the soundtrack almost exclusively for a period of time and watched the movie once or twice a week for a few months. Now imagine someone took your ipod and threw it into a fully overflowing portapotty and then dropped a fresh deuce right on it. then they took your nice and fresh Criterion copy of the movie and defaced it with a box knife before yeeting the discs into the interstate.
That's what watching Isle of Dogs was like for my son.
That said I really liked the taiko drumming on the soundtrack.
also he had me burn a disc of the FMF soundtrack so he could listen to it in the car while going to and from school. his favorite was "The Grey Goose" by Burl Ives because the cd display would only show "The Grey Goo" and he got a kick out of that. Also he was in elementary school.

it makes sense though, you don't really need to be on set that much for stop-motion. watch the dailies and make sure storyboards are done well and followed, maybe some angle clarification here and there.
