Yeah, I did think those first samples sounded pretty anemic (though they were in stereo), but then was pleasantly surprised when the full track was unveiled.

Sure. And I also really love the first four tracks on BS; the album really craps out after that for me. But I'd be fine with some BS-style pop punk provided that it's mixed better, and isn't balanced by Sirens Part 2.

Sounds like something that would fit on the first disc of Lost Dogs...in a good way. Not what I expected at all.
