Placeholder thread for when I start a Nada Surf deep dive

They've got a new album out and the single made me want to put on High/Low.

In the coming weeks, I plan a chronological trip through their discography to see how they got from there to here.

Anyone is welcome to join. Listening begins in the next few days.

I'll say right now that a brief listen through their Spotify station made me excited to hear more. On the station I heard some new-to-me Nada Surf songs along with favorites from Grandaddy, Pavement, Broken Social Scene, and Dino Jr. Very promising.

When I get to the part in this thread where I talk about High/Low, I will try to keep the nostalgia to a minimum and focus on judging these tunes on their own merit. It will be tough, but crucial for this thread's mission statement.
