Why would they release a looped snippet of a song? Sincere question, not doubting anyone. I know no one knows their intention but what is the benefit? Seems weird to me.

the drumming for "Black, Red, Yellow" is so angular and back-beaty; if this was played that way I would be 100% more into it

Definitely looped. I split it in Audacity and synched it. Same exact thing twice.
