I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

No joke: Akira Kurosawa is one of my absolute least favorite filmmakers. Throne of Blood is great and Ran is okay, but I've hated just about everything else I've watched (or tried to watch) from him.

Ikiru and High and Low are his best. Of his top movies I have not see Dersu Uzala, Red Beard, Kagemusha and The Bad Sleep Well.
