The Thread Where We Compare Candidates to Rock Bands

Post by liebzz »

Elizabeth Warren = Soundgarden: used to be very metal but became more palatable as she grew in popularity.

Bernie Sanders = Slayer: Metal. Uncompromising.

Andrew Yang = Flaming Lips: a little out there but delivering a positive message.

Donald Trump = Nickelback: a total fraud but somehow has millions of followers, none of which are willing to admit it in public.

Go.

Bernie Sanders = Pearl Jam

Elizabeth Warren = Creed (shitty D-quality version of Pearl Jam)

Everyone else = dead to me

Good idea for a thread.

I don’t know about the others but I think Bernie is more like The Grateful Dead. Peace & Love, lets take care of everyone, indulge the feelings - to a degree that a majority agree in principle but struggle with in practice, while a minority are all in.

I like this. I went Slayer for the extreme views though they are not in practice really extreme. I also liked the humor in the comparison. But this probably most analytically correct.

Trump- slipknot- tries hard to make an ass of himself and is pissed off at the world. Wait, did i just describe my teenage self.
I pledge to be 100% boring and never troll-out again. I will make my interactions here pleasant, like sitting through an agricultural economics class.

Funny, I don’t think of Bernie as a “peace and love” candidate though I get why others might.

Bernie Sanders keeps his bible in a pool of blood so that none of it's lies can infect him :bammer:
