Spielberg is out from Indy 5.
Mangold seems to be up for the job.

I should probably be horrified by this but I'm not. Someone was going to take this over at some point and it's pretty clear neither Spielberg nor Lucas have had any good story ideas for this property in decades.

I’m not upset Spielberg isn’t doing it (I’d much rather he do other things), but, like...I don’t want anyone else to make it either. Just stop making them, for the love of god. LET IT REST

Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread
My biggest problem is Harrison Ford. I don't think he can play the character any more. For whatever reason, he doesn't seem like the person he used to be, or the person who could play Indy.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I'm surprised it took this long for these articles to start up. you'd think - like most obits - they were already written and just waiting for the submit go-ahead.

I don't know that Iger is really leaving. He moved himself into the Chairman of the Board. Effectively gave himself a promotion. He's the new CEO's boss. Basically freed himself up from the day to day monotony, got to choose his successor and is in control of all creative decisions. Wouldn't be surprised if his contract gets extended in that role until 2023 and then he runs for president.
