Badmotorfinger is very close but I think it kind of fizzles at the end.

I‘m tempted to say this but not sure about the one with Kurt Vile, especially considering how great the next three albums all are, although that alone shouldn’t disqualify it from being considered excellent. Granduciel and Vile both make better music apart than they did together imo.

Yeah I’d start there for sure. If you are curious to explore more, I’d recommend “Good Morning Spider”, but I suppose that could be debatable depending who you are talking to
