The music is coherent, but this is one of Eddie's more schizophrenic compositions in terms of where everything is.

Song is kind of a mess but I liked it...it's not a mess in the sense that it's bad or cringy or tries too hard, it's just a messy song. No real chorus or hook but it jumbles along and yet I enjoyed it.

I don't know The Dwarves but like the song you suggested.
And pretty funny, Superblood Wolfmoon and We Must Have Blood have a similar atmospheric interlude(postlude?) at the end.

I feel like Superblood Wolfmoon is referencing other bands/genres I'm not familiar with and that, because the song is lacking, are required to really 'get' the song.

-it's a billion times better than CDM which i'm sorry we have to keep bringing up b/c it was initially the first single from the new PJ album.
- turns out the breakdown we heard initially is maybe the best part of the song.
- ed is in his wheelhouse here, which should make many RM sticklers happy.

ok, things that are good:

1. the general production at least has a bit more depth to it than the last couple records
2. I like the "la la la" part
3. I like that the guitars have a little bite to them
4. I like the "She was a stunner" part, but just for a bar or two
5. I appreciate that Ed is sticking within a comfortable range

But none of that matters because the underlying composition is so generic. This is, musically speaking, one of the most boring songs they've ever released. My hopes for this album just took a huge dive.

Yeah, it's exactly the same except in SBWM Matt rides the crash and the snare tone in Undone sounds like a trash can lid.

The first minute could defintiely stand to be a bit heavier/dirtier - it would make the contrast with the lalalala part stronger (which I do like). I do like the main riff when it picks up again around 1:10. I wish they repeated the lalalla part - the spokenish word bit that replaces it the second time doesn't do a ton for me.

Once Mike's solo kicks in (more to mark a transition than any love for that part) the song kciks up a notch. I'm with hlnv on that. The last minute is the best part

I do think the solo is badass... but I am an Eddie Van Halen fan. The breakdown coming out of the solo sounds like it was pieced together from another song, though.

The whole things is rather ADHD. YouTubes says Ed plays guitar. So, it's probably an Ed song?

I like it. It’s a fine album track, except for some lyrics and the cut between solo and outtro.

I like the aspects that are Sonicsesque and the places where it defies expectations (that first chorus with the wordless call-and-response, the unexpected twists of the solo) most.

Performance and production remain massively improved from recent years.
