Also at the end you had to listen to Green Day
:haha:

it's pretty forgettable and at less than half an hour you don't miss the time at all.

From what I've heard so far (Let's Dance, and that snippet of Bad Moon Rising) this album is so far sounding like what I'd expected Backspacer to sound like when they were out hyping it before release

It might have been overplayed in my mind or by things I've read on the board, but it seems like BO'B had a lot of influence on Ed's vocal choices the last two albums. It's exciting to think about Ed relying completely on his own instincts without the pressure of BO'B's time frame and production suggestions.

His vocals and harmonies on DotC and the snippet of SBWM are awesome.

I've also been thinking more about Ed's admitted hearing loss. I wonder if he seriously couldn't even hear his breathiness and how present it was in the mix, and BOB was just telling him "it sounds great man!" And slowly he realized it in fact sounded awful.
i was thinking the same thing about the eye work he had done

My hopes and expectations for Gigaton are as good as shattered upon hearing SBWM.
Somebody's comment about a review liking Gigaton to LB isn't helping either.

Both songs are very different. I'm not sure what you really want from this band.

Are you prepared to write off the entire album based on 2 songs?

DOTC is incredible. I still haven’t grown tired of it. I’m positive it’s their best song since at least Riot Act. That song alone gives me hope for Gigaton.

SBWM isn’t near that level, but I still don’t think it sounds like much they’ve done before, as much as people are trying to compare it to their older songs. The tease clip of Who Ever Said they posted on insta has an interesting start.

I’m intrigued.

So, would you base an entire opinion on Vitalogy based on Stupid Mop and Whipping?

Now why in the hell would they release Stupid Mop as a single?

True, but even so why judge an album on 2 songs alone? Do you expect to like every song?

they were always bad at choosing singles, that aspect doesn't bother me; if it's filler that's business as usual, I look forward to better tracks coming
