After a couple listens I still don't have an opinion.

Pearl Jam have never played their best song, "Olympic Platinum", live. This destroys your stupid argument
Not sure how serious you are about Olympic Platinum, but I’d love it if they ever decided to play this just once.
Piggy-backing a Xmas single reference, "Happy When I'm Crying" is legitimately one of their best songs. I hate it was relegated to nothingness.
Really wish they'd play Happy When I'm Crying live once in a while.

Imagine how bad this would be with BOB's hands all over it? I know its a low bar but him not being involved has already elevated this album to mediocre. Eddie's vocals are rough on this one, but at least i can listen to the damn song without physical pain. The mix is finally back where it's supposed to be.

I'm not going to get all worked up about how bad this song is. We knew there were going to be straight forward rock songs. This is one of them. It's fine to me. I'm enjoying it for what it is.

after more listens, this is a 3/5 star song. I had 4/5 but a few more listens in convinced me to downgrade.

I'm deadly serious when I say I think Can't Deny Me is a way better song than this. The song get's unbridled hate, but I actually think the main riff and Ed's combined vocal line (And now you want me to breeatthe) is actually pretty clever. It's catchy. The call and response part was pretty much a fail, but overall I find the verses and chorus to be pretty catchy on CDM.

On Superblood, Ed's vocal melody is basically riding the riff in the same melody. There's no real COUNTER melody, which he's always been good at. He's always been clever at finding a good counter melody to a riff that wouldn't be so instant to anyone else. But on this song, he's just riding the generic riff til the wheels fall off. (In The deestance, ugh) He did this better on The Getaway. Not to mention a song like Save You is leagues above this.

I think the prediction version had a more clever idea than wtf Ed went for on this. It's literally the most basic chord riff you can think off with the same melody on top.

The riff from the snippet is actually the strongest part and had potential, but he just fucked it.

I didn't like the snippet and preferred everything else

on the prediction song, I think the intro riff is cool but then it goes chug chug into a verse riff that nobody sings over for two bars, and I hate when songs do that

Yeah, I don't know how many of you play guitar but this power chord progression and how it's played is just so simple and predictable it's insulting

I hated the snippet and then the full version managed to fuck it up even more lol.

I don't play guitar but I feel like it would take exactly one guitar lesson and I'd be playing this

I would bet money that this song is a left over from Backspacer.
