Its an Ed song. GSMF, Getaway, and throw in Lightning Bolt. The three most recent Ed rockers until SBWM. Not exactly complex and yes maybe Matt yawns at songs like this. Stone wanted to create some Steely Dan like songs. But to me they add something to Pearl Jam. An album full of In Hiding, 1/2 Full, and Sirens? All songs like that? Ehhh

You lost me when you lumped in In Hiding and 1/2 Full with Sirens? Huh? :?

I just meant Ed songs add some kind of catchiness and spunk to the proceedings. In Hiding is great but an album full of Stone and Jeff songs, I'm not sure how I'd feel about that.

I honestly want to see what this Josh producer guy does with a Sirens-like song, but then I think Sirens might be the best thing about LB

I'm also really excited about "River Cross"; produced in the right way, that's the energy I'm looking for

I'm worried about the slow songs. DOTC and SBWM still have me excited though.

I know it’s like two seconds but the drum and bass at the start of the Who Ever Said tease has me intrigued.

I have high hopes for this song

maybe you have to be stone to get this song?
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

it's definitely tempered some; SBWM does some things right for me but it doesn't have the depth of DOTC

I’m so happy that I am loving both of these songs while the vast majority of you melt down over SBWM. It makes me more confident than ever that these are really excellent songs pushing into uncharted territory for PJ. Gigaton at least has songs with inspiration, and that’s something that wasn’t evident on the last couple albums. I remember when everyone was scared of No Code too.
