bammer's inner monologue: "hmmm, this chicken breast seems like it's 160 degrees. i would use a meat thermometer to make sure it's not underdone and my family isn't puking in about 4 hours, buuuutttt i think i can figure it out on my own."doug rr wrote:i tell that to chris all the time..Bammer wrote:Meat thermometers are for pussies. I'd like to walk this back. I've come to really appreciate avocados over the last several years, mainly for their role in Mexican food. I still wouldn't eat just avocado on toasttheplatypus wrote:I don't really care for avocados.

I'm not really a huge fan of sweets, but I do enjoy white chocolate, which has to be one of the most widely-derided sweets around.

I don't mind white chocolate. I just wish it was called something else. It doesn't really taste like chocolate.theplatypus wrote:I'm not really a huge fan of sweets, but I do enjoy white chocolate, which has to be one of the most widely-derided sweets around.

Re: UNPOPULAR FOOD OPINIONS.
Avocados play a (in my opinion, extraneous) role in a lot of traditional Colombian meals such as bandeja paisa and sancocho, as well as being eaten straight up with a spoon. No thanks

Gotcha. Mexican food is definitely where they shine the most, so I'm not surprised that made you like them.
