Honestly, i got two pretty awesome songs that im beyond thrilled about. Deep down i was hoping for this, but wasn't super expecting to get two new songs that I legit think are great in this day and age of pearl jam. Especially after the last couple of releases.

Everything else is bonus at this point

Way to set the bar low strat!

if we get anything better than these, I will decide that the album deserves a lot of my attention and time to grow, like the old ones did

bring on Pearl Jam's 8th album!

With both these songs, I had first listen on iphone speaker and then next day properly listened through headphones. And then I really, really appreciated them. Which led me to realize that I've been primarily stuck in live PJ for quite awhile now (not a bad thing mind you). However, I haven't listened to one of their studio albums in a long while. So it has spurred me on to check some of the albums out that sit in the middle and it has been fun listening for the little nuances you miss live or on casual listens - which I have been guilty of last couple of albums.

The lyrics look promising, for the most part.

I would have never thought that a song named "Buckle Up" would be one of the weirder songs on any album, let alone one by Pearl Jam, but if that description is true, then I'm looking forward to it.

If they really only listened to the album once at that listening party, I do wonder how they managed to pull so many lyrics from each song.

Is it surprising the band has yet to announce a TV performance?

SNL is already booked for 3/7 so unless they’re playing 3/14, the tour gets in the way the rest of the month.

Did they do any TV performances for Lightning Bolt? I can't recall any offhand.

There was like an entire PJ week on Fallon if I remember right. Didn’t they do Colbert too? Maybe I’m mixing everything up.

Yeah didn't someone here get into one of the tapings and snuck in a pillowcase saying "play cold confession" or something like that?
