Songs that mention super, or blood, or wolf, or moons

I’m ranking all of their songs that, in hindsight, could have been about Chris Cornell

That's one long piss break for a concert.
I'm thrilled to say that Get Right, Hitchhiker and SBWM are the best songs on this list
Best of the worst, maybe. Not sure any of 'em deserve a place in their top 75, assuming they have about 100 or so originals.
They have a lot more than that.
125ish?
They have 170-175 songs.

Yeah, just adding up songs on albums and LD and it gets up there. My bad. I was probably still rattled anyone can think LB is worth a piss. Top 5 for PJ? Mind blown.

Thank you, kind sir.

Humor me, and tell me which of the first 5 albums you’d put behind LB?

I still think the song is better if they cut the stunner/stunned and third chorus before the solo. That's the most boring part and the chorus isn't good enough to repeat four times.

SBWM is still growing on me. I have it at a 3 now. I don't mind it as a lead in to Dance.

Overall, still excited about Gigaton. I think it will be their best since RA. So, instead of digging 4-6 songs on the last three albums, I might end up really enjoying 7,8, maybe 9 songs Gig.

Actually comparing this to Backspacer makes me think of one of the reasons Backspacer works for me better than LB. Its short and sweet. It suits the songs and doesn't linger too long. Johnny Guitar is less than 3 minutes, and this song would benefit from being a similar length especially because while the structure changes up a bit the repetitive parts drag it down.

I feel like it's like Avocado mixed with Backspacer in a way that makes it fall short of either <_<

It's in a weird gray area that doesn't work as well as either one individually.

Just listened to this louder than I previously had and imagined myself on the highway. I might be at 3.5 stars now.

Growing on me to. Will it end up ranking higher than Got Some? Maybe.

I HATE having to nitpick to convince myself I like a song, but I think that added vocal on "forgiveness" really brings this down for me. Would I accept this song from any other band? Would I want to listen? Likely no, but I'm still psyched for this album!

Could easily be a leftover from either period. Sure sounds like it to me just a little jazzed up

it just occurred to me that modern Ed's delivery is not that dissimilar to Jack Black's in "Tribute":

"needless to say, the beast was stunned!
whip-crack went his whippy tail,
and the beast was done"
