Johnny Guitar makes Leatherman seem like a kids song.Birds in Hell wrote:That's right.Brett wrote:I might be wrong, but I think Spenno and KD are talking about Backspacer and Lightning Bolt here.DeeDee wrote:I like Sirens and Dotc, but couldn't say I don't agree with that.Kevin Davis wrote:Oh heavens yes.Birds in Hell wrote:I like the studio version of Leatherman more than any single song on the last two albums. Leatherman from Barrie Ontario 1998 is the best version. That was an amazing and really underated show from 1998 tour.

I'm just joining this thread. I haven't read most of it. I don't think Leatherman's a spritzy punker.

Same, but I like it more than either of the tracks we've heard from Gigaton too.Birds in Hell wrote:That's right.Brett wrote:I might be wrong, but I think Spenno and KD are talking about Backspacer and Lightning Bolt here.DeeDee wrote:I like Sirens and Dotc, but couldn't say I don't agree with that.Kevin Davis wrote:Oh heavens yes.Birds in Hell wrote:I like the studio version of Leatherman more than any single song on the last two albums. This isn't meant to be a modern-PJ bash; I genuinely really like "Leatherman," as I do everything from the Irons age.

Is there a good bootleg of this show? It was my first concert and I've always wanted to hear a good recording.Clem Halibut wrote:Leatherman from Barrie Ontario 1998 is the best version. That was an amazing and really underated show from 1998 tour.

Also, it's nice to see all the Leatherman love.

Love Leatherman. I've always thought that Jeff's bass has a kind of baggy/Mani quality which makes it quite unique among PJ's canon.

enough sh*t Superblood Wolfmoon is a spritzy punker this charade ends now ed’s word salad is ass-worthy and the chlamydic dick drum intro more than counteracts the slight distortion that builds later in the song

I had a really crappy copy of this show once. I tried converting it a couple years ago to MP3 and it turned out worse.
This was such a great show -the energy of the band was great that night.

Just listened to "Better Things" this one and "Again Today" are the definition of PJ Spritzy punkers

I hope this style of music is nowhere to be found on Gigaton
