Between this and two recent boss battles that were so annoyingly hard I just walked away, I think I might be done with this game. At least for a while.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Uggghhhhh I just lost over 20 minutes of progress because of a glitch. Sigh.

Fully back in the swing of Odyssey now. Killed my first mythical creature today! (The Lightning Bringer) I was really intimidated because of my previous frustrations with the Minotaur, but this battle was surprisingly easy.

Re: Assassin’s Creed
Apparently I was closer to finishing the main story than I thought when I left off a while ago; just beat the game last night. Now I wanna hunt down the last two cultists and explore. Stumbled upon a cult living inside a volcano yesterday, which was very cool.
Also, I have to say that clearing out fortresses kinda never stops being fun, especially if they’re big ones with tons of enemies. I especially like using Ikaros to scope out the brazier and plan my approach so I can sabotage it before I kill too many people.

The ending was underwhelming, but these games have never been about the story anyway. I just finished killing all the mythical animals and am in the process of taking care of the cultists.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Apparently I was closer to finishing the main story than I thought when I left off a while ago; just beat the game last night. Re: Assassin’s Creed
Starting to get good. I took a break about 7 hours in to beat Demon's Souls and am now back at it. The map is pretty uninspiring, but the combat and perks options keep it interesting. Vikings are cool too. It's very much if a new era Assassin's Creed game though. Pretty similar to Odyssey and Origins in terms of character performances and basic gameplay loop.

Re: Assassin’s Creed
I'm about 40 hours into Valhalla and i'd agree with M_D's assessment. At the moment i'd rank this game significantly lower than Odyssey and Origins. It's just engaging enough to keep plugging away but i'm not itching to get back to it. Maybe it's just series fatigue on my part.
