i'd be good with no covers at all. they have plenty of original material. sub a deep-cut for a cover.

I'd much rather hear a deep cut than a cover song.

But, Comfortably Numb, Fucking Up & Baba are still great covers though.

I'm not really bothered by most of the covers. I think they've made Rocking in the Free World and Baba O'Riley their own. I even like the PiL cover.

I could maybe do with them staying away from the obvious crowd-pleasing classic rock and cock rock - Van Halen, Kiss, Aerosmith, even Pink Floyd.

Hated when they tagged HtH at the end of Daughter. Can't stand that band....

Got Blood if You Want it was a great cover

Loved the Highway to Hell cover Eddie did with Bruce on his Australia tour

With Pearl Jam it would be a train wreck

They really do pick the lamest, most obvious classic rock staples to cover. Doesn't Ed even play a horrific solo version of "Blackbird"?

Mark my words: at some point in the next couple years, Pearl Jam will cover "Free Bird", "Smoke on the Water", or "Sultans of Swing"

They'll probably cover Steely Dan just to shut Stone up

Covers are probably easier ground for EdVed to cover these days so I don't see a slowing trend on the horizon.

I won't lie - I wouldn't mind a free bird cover. That's a guilty pleasure.

I don't know if they could pull it off, but Sultans Of Swing would be great.
