I like it sentimentally because it's on VS, but Leash is a bit meh to me these days. Ed at his most heavy-handed.

Leash is a good answer.

Leash, as some have said, and to an extent Rearviewmirror.

In fact Vs to me is there most 90s album in this regard.

With their most 90s (read: dated sounding) drummer. Sorry Dave A fans.

Here we go. Songs that I don't think have aged well. Only considering Ten through Binaural because, well, they started going downhill from there IMO.

Blood - I understand the message, but the music hasn't held up for me
Leash - loved this song 1993-1998, now not so much
Better Man - please retire this song
In Hiding - this is the very first time I remember saying to myself, "this is Pearl Jam trying to sound like Pearl Jam." Never liked it for this reason.

I never liked In Hiding. It’s the same idea as Given To Fly, just seven songs later and not near as good.

Single Video Theory made demi-gods out of certain Yield songs that were mere mortals

Vs. has the highest concentration of songs that really feel of their time, though No Code has the highest concentration of songs whose comparative profundity (that all those songs were reaching for) has suffered the most. They've explored all those themes in future albums more effectively.

Interesting insight, stip
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

I really like the lyrics on No Code, among the best in the catalogue.
