The miniaturist
Well it was immersive for sure. And kind of beautifully written if you like every thought from the protagonist feeling like an inspirational quote with a photo of forests in winter or endless waves or some such.
But overall felt like it was a pitch to be made into a series.
Second book I’ve read recently that had this vibe and I’m pretty sure it isn’t me just thinking that. It’s what the author is going for. Sadly.

Reality Transurfing
This is a book by a Russian quantum physicist. You can call it a law of attraction type of book, but it really goes into many aspects of life. Just about 800 pages. Very interesting take on reality, and how to control it. There is info about the book on the web, youtube, etc....

I never finished this and i dont think im going to try.
I dont know why i didnt like it but im realizing that this is kind of my problem when it comes to reading. Ill get into a book and try and foce myself to finish it, it stays on the virtual shelf, and then i fall out of habit of reading.
But, with a kindle, i can just move right along!
So, whats next. Hmmm...

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Finished The Plot Against America. Thanks for the rec!
I like how the focus is on the family with the backdrop of the weird presidential events.

I've been wanting to read Diamante's The Red Tent for ages now. Starting that today, finally.
