The official flannelking SBWM ranking:

Best non-slow tune since Yield! (Nothing As It Seems counts as a slow tune). Though I admit I hated it the first couple of listens.
I pledge to be 100% boring and never troll-out again. I will make my interactions here pleasant, like sitting through an agricultural economics class.

Im counting LBC and Your Are as slow tunes also. Could be the newness of it but right now anyway Id have to say SBWM edges out songs like breakerfall, gods dice, evacuation, I am mine, cropduster, amongst the waves, Mind your manners, lightning bolt, getaway and swallowed whole.

I like SBWM a lot, but it's not even close to Evacuation or Cropduster.

I like cropduster a lot but it seems like kind of a simple tune. Evacuation has that bridge and is a great tune. Its almost a toss up, imo, cuz sbwm has quite a bit going on with the guitars and a has quite a few hooks in the vocals too.

I swapped my vote on both DOTC and SBWM.

I upgraded DOTC to a 5 from a 4 and downgraded SBWM from 5 to a 4.

Listening to them back to back it’s a nice transition from one song to the next but DOTC is the star of the show. I think both songs are going to fit into the setlist nicely this tour.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks ed sings "everywhere" like Elmer Fudd would. I like the sound of it though.

It’s fine album filler. Hopefully it’s album filler.

I forgot to add those 2 to the list but i think i like these too much still: the guitar intro, guitar solo (perfect for the song) and the guitar immediately after the solo. I like the vocals too. Its a song that doesn't need a chorus that isn't simple. I don't have any complaints about the song.

Its Ed's brand of punk, or at least one version of it. Sounds good. This song would sound bad with polished vocals.

I did chat with someone who was at the listening party. He felt it was their strongest album since the 90's and Quick Escape was his high point. Named a few other highlights and Superblood Wolfman wasn't among them other than the album started and ended very strong. Which seems similar to some other reviews.

I'm ever optimistic that this song is middle of the pack on the album and I will at least enjoy getting to know the other songs.

Hahha. That's all I got song related. There was some chat about the surreal nature of listening to it while sharing a tequila shot from Ed. He just said I will love it and it sounded amazing on dolby atmos. It was the first time I heard Quick Escape as high point though. So there's that. I'll edit this in. He loved the closing two. But that was par for what we heard already as well.

Anyway. His opinion, but I'm liking it.

I'll ask if there's any more specifics

I guess... I don't necessarily want a polished SOUND.. but a polished product. If he's going for a messy, insecure, chaotic vibe, like he's making it up on the fly, he succeeded

I think the most interesting thing about this is that SBWM was not mentioned as a highlight.
