I overheard a conversation in a hospital. No hospitals test for it except for maybe some in the state of Washington. The reason is the test costs $3000. The person also claims that masks aren't important and that the focus should be on hand-washing.
I pledge to be 100% boring and never troll-out again. I will make my interactions here pleasant, like sitting through an agricultural economics class.

Masks are mostly important for the infected to minimize droplet spread and the frontline caregivers. Everyone else, wash your hands and try to avoid sick people.

Tests are still only happening on a pretty limited basis. We’re low on masks, and providers have been given guidelines that limit their use to exceptionally high needs areas.

I'm proud of our citizens. I haven't seen near as many masked over this compared to when the swine flue was about to wipe out our planet. Back then it was like Halloween for adults every day. Though i have noticed a few people lately driving around by themselves with masks on.
