Had a good time playing different challenges and unlcoking things last year (without any microtransactions, which I felt a sense of accomplishment for), but I almost feel like it's a waste because I haven't touched the franchise and other modes from last year, and the roster update will be so minuscule. But David Ortiz will be unlockable this year.
Spoiler: show
Ok, the main reason I'm thinking about upgrading is for Ortiz. Sue me.
I buy NBA 2k every year and have no reservations about it. Do what brings you joy.
You're going to convince me to pay $60 for a game I already have. Thanks!
You can always wait until May and it will be $30-$40.

Wow that's interesting. I wonder if they cast Ellen Page as Ellie.

Hopefully everyone can finally see how threadbare and shitty that story is

It's simple but effective. The guy lost his daughter. He slowly comes around and takes Ellie in as if she's his own daughter. He chooses her life over potentially saving the world. That's some real shit.

Every story has been done many times. It's how well it's executed, how believable it is that matters. Your own story has been done before, too. It only matters if you care. I cared very much for Joel and Ellie. That's why it's good.

Is Ghost of Tsushima one of those brutal difficulty games?

Aside from one gameplay video that came out during E3 2018, we haven't seen it in action much. Although I do recall reading an article with the developer where he said they were aiming not to make the game accessible to casual players (I assume through varying difficulty levels) so that everyone can enjoy and get through the main story. I for one am hoping it's not crazy hard to play as I fall more into the casual gamer realm. They've been billing this as a third person action-adventure and not an RPG, which is good for me cause I normally find RPGs much more difficult the the former.

This game really does look gorgeous.

So an action/ adventure game that's tries not to be an RPG. Ummm... so like Mass Effect 2 or 3?
