I loved what Abrams did. But I also really would have loved to see what Rian would have come up with. He made my favorite of the ST films.Strat wrote:lol. Yup!durdencommatyler wrote:The official Star Wars tagline.Strat wrote:But ooof....some things!

I’m just joshing the point not you buddy.
It’s something I often think about and you don’t hear much.
Sure Star Wars is American kind of. But it’s international far more. The only real connecting points in any real sense is America is represented as the empire. Blame George on that. That’s really all though. It sort of is our culture all of us. (Well except they Chinese),
Very few if any other big franchises stick a flag in themselves and have such success. Maybe some of the marvel films but that vibe doesn’t happen anymore really. Not since the 80sci reckon.
What do I know

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
«The Rise of Skywalker digital streaming release is highly anticipated — at least by those who don't have Disney Plus. ... Star Wars.com just announced that The Rise of Skywalker will come out as a digital download (which will be Movies Anywhere compatible) on March 17.»
«The Rise of Skywalker will be released on Digital HD on March 17, 2020, with its DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD release on March 31 by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.»
«Mouse House streamer Disney Plus has revealed a substantial amount of programming ahead of its March 24 U.K. and Ireland launch. This includes more than 500 films, some 350 series and a slate of 26 originals.
As expected, the Marvel universe, with more than 30 films and 50 series, including “Avengers: Endgame,” “Black Panther,” “Captain Marvel” and “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” is thoroughly represented.»
Read elsewhere that the movie will likely arrive on Disney+ somewhere between June to August.
The Skywalker saga will be available in force, with eight “Star Wars” films available from launch and “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker” arriving at a later date. The entire collection of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and saga spinoff series, “The Mandalorian,” from executive producer and writer Jon Favreau, will also be available at launch.

No deleted scenes on the home release? B'ah!
Still looking forward to all of the BTS content.

We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

My guess is they'll wait to release a super special edition with either a director's cut (wishful thinking) or at least the deleted scenes -- timing will be whenever they need to spike their profits during a down quarter.oneway23 wrote:No deleted scenes on the home release? B'ah!
